About:Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is evidence-based and a powerful therapeutic approach that uses the natural state of hypnosis to create lasting change in the way you think, feel and respond.

Hypnotherapy quietens the chatter of your conscious mind so we can gently access your subconscious….the part of your mind that holds habits, beliefs, emotions and memories.

By working at this deeper level, hypnotherapy can help you:

  • Release unhelpful patterns or limiting beliefs.

  • Calm fears, doubts and anxiety.

  • Build new ways of thinking and responding that support your goals.

  • Create positive changes that last well beyond our sessions.

As a hypnotherapist I practice two styles of hypnotherapy - Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) and conversational hypnosis. While both approaches work with the subconscious mind, they do so in different ways and in my practice I often blend these together intuitively depending on what is most needed.

Rapid Transformational therapy:

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) was created by leading therapist Marisa Peer and is unique in the way it combines principles of hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, neurolinguistic programming, cognitive behavioural therapy, neuroscience, and neuroplasticity to deliver fast, effective and long-lasting results.

Through Rapid Transformational Therapy we can discover the life experiences (typically from childhood) that have created unhelpful, negative or limiting beliefs that are holding you back. Once you understand the root cause of a particular problem or challenge you are facing, we are then able to rewire and reprogram new beliefs leading to profound healing and incredible change.

While I offer an intuitive and personalised approach, an RTT session typically involves elements of relaxation, regression, inner child work, parts work and reprogramming of unhelpful thought patterns to supportive, positive and empowering beliefs that align with your vision.

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT)

  • Is more structured and uses formal hypnosis to access root causes.

  • Involves regression to specific memories to understand and reframe them.

  • Uses a personalised transformational recording to rewire beliefs at a subconscious level.

  • Is often a single, focused session followed by a period of integration.

Unlike traditional hypnotherapy which is a more guided & structured process by the hypnotherapist, this method is rooted in a specific questioning style, deep listening and intuitive dialogue.

Rather than relying on a formal trance induction, as the name suggests, Conversational Hypnotherapy works through conversation.

For you it simply feels like a natural, flowing dialogue, yet it’s carefully guided to access the subconscious mind. Through specific language patterns and curiosity-led questioning, we bypass the critical, analytical mind and speak directly to the deeper part of you where beliefs, patterns and inner wisdom reside.

This is a gentle and natural approach to uncover what’s underneath your surface thoughts, allowing insights, clarity and emotional release to emerge organically. There’s no pressure to go deep, go back to your past… it simply meets you exactly where you are.

Conversational Hypnotherapy

  • Is more fluid and intuitive, like a dialogue that bypasses the conscious mind.

  • Doesn’t involve regression or going back into past memories (unless that naturally arises).

  • Allows for powerful shifts through metaphor, language and connection without needing to “dig” or revisit the past directly.

Conversational Hypnotherapy:

So which one is best for me?

Both approaches are powerful in their own right. Sometimes, one is more appropriate than the other depending on where you’re at, what you’re exploring and how your nervous system responds best.

In my practice I often use an intuitive blend of both approaches, but if you have questions about this or are feeling drawn to one modality in particular, this is something we can discuss and work out together.

Who is hypnotherapy for?

  • You’re self-aware, you’ve done the mindset work, read the books, tried talk therapy, but deep down, you still feel stuck, like there’s something beneath the surface you just can’t quite reach.

  • You’re exhausted from carrying the weight of the past. Old hurts, disappointments and wounds still linger, shaping how you see yourself and what you believe is possible. No matter how much you tell yourself it will be okay, something keeps pulling you back.

  • You fear the future won’t be any different. A part of you wants to trust that things will work out, but another part worries that no matter how hard you try, nothing will change. You’re caught in a cycle of hope and fear, longing for clarity and confidence.

  • You crave deep, lasting transformation. Not just surface-level motivation or short-term relief, but real, lasting shifts that free you from the invisible weight you’ve been carrying so that you can step fully into the life you know is meant for you.

What can hypnotherapy help with?

While hypnotherapy is helpful for so many different problems, with my background as a fertility nurse, midwife and child family health nurse, I have a particular passion and love for supporting women in this space. Hypnotherapy is helpful for working through….

  • Anxiety about fertility, pregnancy, birth and motherhood

  • Any doubts that are weighing on your mind in your motherhood journey. E.g. what if I’m not a good mum, what if my relationship changes, what if my body changes, what If i’m not ready, what if i’m not capable, what if I carry on past trauma or patterns from my childhood

  • Apprehension or fear about pregnancy and birth

  • Self-trust

  • Self-worth

  • Navigating the emotional rollercoaster of IVF treatment

  • Navigating the identity shifts of motherhood

  • Transition to motherhood

  • Relationships

  • Quietening the mental chatter and overwhelm

What to expect from a hypnotherapy session

  • We begin with conversation, what's brought you here, what's happening in your life, what you're coming up against and what you're hoping for.

  • We then move into a guided hypnotherapy experience. While I offer a deeply personalised approach, this experience typically includes elements of relaxation, regression, inner child work, parts work and reprogramming of unhelpful thought patterns to supportive, positive and empowering beliefs that align with your vision.

  • At the end of your session, we'll take some time to gently return, reflect on your experience and discuss anything that arose for you. This is an opportunity to ask questions, make sense of what came up, and begin integrating your insights into everyday life.

  • Following your session, I'll create a bespoke hypnosis recording based on the work we've done together. This recording becomes an extension of your session, something you can return to in the days and weeks ahead to reinforce new beliefs, deepen the work, and continue supporting lasting change.

These sessions are generally around 2 hours, however I allow space for them to naturally unfold. While most sessions sit within this timeframe, they may occasionally extend slightly to ensure we have enough time to fully explore, integrate and close without rushing the experience.

A different approach

You'll notice that I don't offer fixed packages or ask you to commit to multiple sessions.

This is intentional.

Over the years, both as a practitioner and as a client, I've come to realise that healing doesn't follow a predetermined timeline. Sometimes a single conversation creates profound change. Sometimes life unfolds in a way that invites us back months later. And sometimes the most supportive thing is simply having the freedom to choose what feels right for you, without pressure or obligation.

For that reason, I offer standalone sessions.

Each session is complete in itself, designed to meet you where you are and give you what you most need in this season of your life. If, after our work together, it feels supportive to meet again, you're always welcome to return. But that decision is yours to make, based on your needs—not because you've purchased a package or feel committed to continuing.

My hope is that you leave each session feeling lighter, clearer and more empowered, trusting that you have exactly what you need for the next part of your journey.

I’m interested…what next?

FAQ’s

  • “I worked with Alice because I’d been hitting roadblocks in the process of surrogacy, and I knew I was stuck but I didn’t know how to get out of my own way. Alice helped me break out of an insecure mindset and shift into positive, self-assured confidence which has contributed to a smooth series of successes in the surrogacy journey. She has a grounded and non-judgmental presence. When I was initially nervous, she reassured me, and she seamlessly guided me through the session. Now I am connected to inner confidence and certainty and I can trust myself in making great decisions moving forward in the surrogacy process.”

  • Alice is wonderful! She was very supportive, caring and understanding during our RTT session as I became very emotional. After the session I felt very peaceful and light. The transformation recording has worked like a charm. I have been able to sleep through the night, rest and wake up with energy for my busy days. My mood is more stable and I have a sense of calmness with a lot less overwhelm and no anxiety. Thank you for your help Alice. I truly appreciate you.

  • “Working with Alice was a real eye-opener to me. I really understand where old patterns came from and how unhelpful they turned out to be, when carried from early childhood into the daily routines of today. I have found new and refreshing ways of how to live my life, how to think about certain topics and how to deal with challenges. In and after the session I was absolutely blown away by myself and my capacities to observe in great detail and detach my understanding of "my world". I felt and knew that I have really pushed boundaries. And now I keep on pushing the boundaries further, diving deeper into unexplored areas in my life. I encourage you: do the work on yourself. It is absolutely priceless, worthwhile and a massive boost for understanding life!"
